In an auction you can offer anything(typical: FB add, thumbing, chat) or nothing (donations, gratitude) and whoever wins your auction rates whether you delivered on a scale of 1 to 5 (I always give 5 unless someones a rl dishonest jerk)... you can set a buy-it-now price, but that is not advisable unless the auction is a deal between you and someone else (like if you want to pay someone 2G). Its not usually a good idea b/c noone can bid higher than the buy-it-now, but if its met, the auction ends there... you set the duration of the auction for however long you want 3hours minimum. If offering thumbs, you should be aware that some ppl have a lot of thumbs. I pay 5000 flat rate for anyone to do my 80 page herd, b/c I think it's fair, but the first time I did 80 pages I was paid 1500 for it and I thought that was okay at the time...
