Why I love America (by Nathan Keys): I just heard a rumour that Jessie Ventura (former pro-wrestler) and Al Franken (former Saturday Night Live comic) are running for a seat in the Senate in the great state of Minnesota. I will be happy no matter who wins. We could use more laughter or body slamming on the senate floor.

So, thought I'd share an embarrassing event that happened to me today at work:
My superior left in a rush this morning informing me that she would be out at a seminar and rattled off the name as an acronym. About an hour later our director came by looking for my superior and asked me where she was. I told her she was off at the DNC and would be back after lunch. The director gave me a horrified look and said "that sounds painful" and walked away. A subordinate who had overheard the CORRECT name of the seminar then informed me "You meant to say DVC. She's at the DVC seminar".

Death by misadventure formally known as death by overdose? I just read an article where a woman died due to excessive cocaine and alcohol. The police called it a death by misadventure. It will take some time to get used to this new definition. I still prefer my misadventure deaths to be a chute not opening or a bungee cord snapping.
