Well we bought a pair of budgies few years back from PetsMart naive as we were we wanted them to have a nestbox so they could breed, so my Dad made us one telling us that they never would lay eggs etc-few weeks later we had my hen budgie sitting on 6 eggs! And after a while there was a bald little blind thing instead of an egg my rainbow was so proud of it she'd sit up a bit si she could show it off-ther rest hatched in due course and we were estatic as htey were so friendly-more so than their parents! It was great when she laid eggs again but unfortunatley the 3rd time she died on the eggs because she hadnt given her body a break I guess, it was heart breaking to bury her but her partner knew-and dutifully went and paired up with another budgie-we'd sold the kids and bought a few others, thats were the problems began....
