I sit here thinking
I get lost in my thoughts
Why am I here
What do I see in the mirror
I wonder why I made the choices I did
and wonder where I go from here
I think I would have done better if
I would have thought about it first
but where I am now seems to be
where I’m needed in a way
I think of questions often
but no answers are at bay
I’ll keep looking for them and believe
The answers are out there and I will receive

A thin layer of frost
on budding flowers
unable to blossom
in the harshness of nature

This yearning to flourish
can never be quenched
under the ice
life gathers its strength

A greater force
will soon come to shine
and the cold oppression
must loosen its grip

Petals will spread
and aim for the sun
Thus another flower
has come to be born
