Monogamy will not survive, soon it will vanish even as an ideal.
This ideal being imposed upon us by society. The main reason to protect women from male excesses and for financial comfort.
Nobody truly believes that you will only love one person throughout your lifetime.
Increased life expectancy will make it damned well near impossible to do this.
I do believe though, that is morally right to only love one person at one time. And if that love has gone move on.
Spare your poor partner from the humilation and devastation an affair, or in my partner's case.. multiple affairs, will cause.
And for God's sake admit to your mistakes. Stand and be counted..
Let your ex get on with grieving for the life they have lost. Don't shift the blame.
