-Sé que es difícil creer a la gente cuando dice "sé cómo te sientes" pero en mi caso, realmente lo sé. Verás... estuve saliendo con una persona, en Londres. Trabajamos en el mismo periódico y un día me encontré que también salía con otra chica, Sarah. Resultó que él no estaba tan enamorado de mi como yo creía. Lo que intento decirte es que entiendo lo que es sentirse el ser más insignificante, pequeño y patético de la humanidad. Lo que es sentir dolor en partes del cuerpo que ni siquiera imaginabas que tenías. Y da igual cuántas veces te cambies el peinado o en cuántos gimnasios de anotes o cuántos vasos de Chardoney te tomes con tus amigas... porque sigues acostándote todas las noches, repasando todos los detalles y preguntándote qué hiciste mal y qué pudiste malinterpretar y cómo mierda pudiste pensar que eras tan feliz! A veces incluso logras convencerte de que él verá la luz y se presentará en tu puerta. Y después de todo eso y aunque esa situación dure mucho tiempo... vas a un lugar nuevo y conoces a gente que te hace recuperar tu amor propio. Y vas recomponiendo tu alma, pedazo a pedazo. Y toda esa época difusa, esos años de tu vida que has malgastado, también han podido desvanecerse...
