Operation!

Yes, I fell victim to going under the knife. This time my fertility was put under the spot light. I found out at the beginning of 2008 that I was going to have problems starting my own family with PCOS. I was put under observation by a specialist and after my first visit was asked to return in 3 mths. A week before my second visit to the specialist I was having discomfort and irregular bleeds which didn't stop. I went to see my doctor and he asked me to do a pregnancy test to rule out possibilities. Needless to say I did 3 tests and ALL were POSITIVE! I didn't know what to think, but didn't want to blow it out of preposition. Two days later I was admitted into A&E with severe pain. I had the pregnancy confirmed and sent home after the pain had gone. The weekend came and went then 4 days later I had my check up and a scan (after what had been confirmed nearly a week before). The scan didn't show anything in my uterus, which concerned them enough to admit me into hospital. After 5 nights in hospital and a number of blood tests later, they rushed me into theatre and removed the ectopic pregnancy.

It will always haunt me in some way and never be forgotten as it was 08/08/08 when it was confirmed.

Why us! The last two years have been nothing but hell for my mothers side of the family. First my mums half sister sadly passed away after fighting lung cancer 2 yrs ago this December.
Then my mum goes into hospital for a 'routine' operation, only to go back in within 6 months of the last operation.
Then followed my uncle who went into hospital for treatment and got more than he was bargaining for. He later found out he had a cancerous kidney which was quickly removed.
Then there is my aunt who sadly found out she was terminally ill with a different form of cancer, which she has been fighting for 8 months since she found out.
Now at present day, my mum is going back into hospital for a 'routine' operation again and my uncle has found out the cancer is back!
Why does the world have to be so cruel to just one family?

Once upon a time, in a land were men throw insults that hurt the young fair maidens. I fell prey to a male chauvinist who through the biggest insult to the fairest of all maidens. While working for a company in the UK, I fell victim to a male colleagues verbal insult. If being blonde was a crime I was guilty, but to ridicule me to the point were I chose to dye my hair to stop such insult, I was wrongly mistaken. At first it was a great shock to all those that knew me and it took me a while to adjust. Yet within months of the said act, I was thrown the insult "at least when you were blonde you had an excuse!" WELL!!! The first thing I did was dye my hair back to blonde and confidently held my head up high and left the company.
