WOW....its been 157 days since my last tale? I really am neglecting hp's!! But unfortunately, I'm going to bed now...so it looks like I'm going to have to take care of things later on...this is what happens when your work blocks facebook! LOL :-D

Stole this from someone because I loved it so much!!! LOL

A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a woman below. He descended a bit more and shouted, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The woman below replied, "You're in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You're between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude."

"You must be in IT," said the balloonist. "I am," replied the woman, "How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I've no idea what to make of your information and the fact is I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help at all. If anything, you've delayed my trip."

The woman below responded, "You must be in Management?


"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well," said the woman, "you don't know where you are or where you're going. You have risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise, which you've no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault.

So, here's my question to you...if you were at a gala...what type of items would you bid on in an auction? I'm looking for suggestions on places to approach to ask for a donation...AND...would you rather a package of a few items, whether it be from a few different companies, with a theme in mind...or single products?

Hmmmm, what to write, what to write...usually I'm not at a loss for words...but wow, you put me on the spot like this and I'm having a hard time trying to think of something to write...I could write about my dogs, one's snoring, one's sprawled out on my bed (just warming it up for me of course) and the other one's hiding somewhere...lol...I could write about what's been going on lately...but that's kind of depressing...let's not go there tonight...I could write about work, ya, lets do that...so...I'm working on our gala that's coming up in May...and I'm writing letters to businesses asking them for Sponsorships and donations for our silent and live auctions...how fun is that?! Crappy when 9 times out of 10 peopel say no...but then there's the 10th time when someone gives you something...and for a brief second, you celebrate...for whatever reason...even if it's not as nice a donation you were looking for...although there are the other times when someone gives you some absolutely AMAZING and it blows you away how giving some people are!! And I must admit, I've seen a lot more big hearts then expected...of course they're doing it because they have such big hearts...and not for the tax receipt of course...lol...I'm a forever optimist!! ;-)
