She breathed in the scent of his skin through the cotton shirt. Everything familiar about him was returning to her. Her hands felt the hard muscle of his back and instantly she felt comfortable and where she knew she wanted to be. Every now and then, her moralistic side caused her pain, when she knew she should try and remain unaffected. For 11 years their secret had remained strong. For 11 years they had led separate lives save for one magical weekend every January. Their love and desire for one another ensured they kept coming back for more.
She lifted her face to his now, and smiled slowly. Her fingers traced his temple, his cheek-bones, his jaw. They came to rest on his lips, and he kissed the fingertips softly, closing his eyes briefly as he indulged. She raised her leg, grazing the inside of her thigh against his hip. He held her hand now and laid it upon his chest, moving it deliberately over the curve of the breast, breathing inwardly as her touch thrilled him. She initiated the kiss, slowly pressing her lips to his, tasting him, breathing him in. He responded in kind, his tongue colliding with hers, the heat rising quickly between them. Her hand slipped between the buttoned opening of his shirt, her need to feel his skin and the coarse hair of his chest overwhelming. Her soft moan echoed his own. They knew the danger of their building passion – too many times sensibility had given way to wanton discovery. Yet this kiss was no different to the welcoming embrace they had shared every time they had reunited in their time. It paved the way for the exciting journey to come: the journey that would be over in days, when they would return to their normal lives, and await the turn of the New Year.
He ended the kiss first, regretfully. “IOU,” he murmured. “If we don’t stop now, your scent’s gonna be all over me ...”
“Is that such a bad thing?” she smiled.
“Are you kidding? It drives me wild … but I have to be careful, love.” He told her. Her eyes dropped and she nodded. “You know I don’t want to go … but I’ll be back in the morning …”
“How long for?” She asked, still looking down at her hands resting on the waistband of his pants.
A prolonged pause before, “I don’t know. Let’s just play it by ear this time, honey.”

Finally in the peace of the hotel room, he kicked the door shut, not letting go of the hand he was holding. He turned to her, two arm’s lengths from him, and just took in her every feature, as their hands slowly intertwined and their fingers danced with one another. He had waited long enough to be alone with her, this enchanting girl that had sailed into his life not three months ago. She had an energy and passion that stemmed from her youth, and eyes that swallowed him up every time they looked his way. He couldn’t remember another time he’d felt so alive within himself – and he wanted so much to show her how good that felt.

She smiled at him coyly, feeling the warmth of his hand as their fingers stretched and flattened against each other, finally lacing together in a grip. She saw him relentlessly chewing that gum, as he grinned at her, with a look of sensuality. Her hunger for him was mirrored in his eyes. Only this morning, their feverish bodies had pressed against each other and moved wildly beneath the crisp white linen sheets … well into mid-morning. She adored this man, and the intoxication she felt every day of this new relationship was a feeling that was yet to be surpassed in her 27 young years. It was she who stepped into his space now, taking his other hand in hers and placing it on her cheek as her chin lowered to her chest.

He took a sharp inward breath, gazing on the dark curls that crowned her head there, only inches from him. He could smell her perfume, her very essence filling his senses, and he longed to see those eyes again and be lost within them. Freeing his other hand, he cupped her face and coaxed her attention to him. Her face was flushed and her mouth formed a perfect pout that smoothed into a smile as she looked back at him. He slowly shook his head. He didn’t know how to explain in words how she made him feel in that instant. How with his very being he wanted to be a part of her. But he didn’t need to speak. He knew she felt the same and that what happened between them was meant to be. Feeling that surge of excitement course through his veins, his fingers lost themselves in her hair as he moved his mouth to hers.

“Fuck,” he cursed against her lips as there was a sound behind them. The loud knocking startled them both.

It's your work Xmas break-up. It's okay ... the place they chose this year is pretty cool, the music isn't even that bad. I'm so glad you wore it. I can feel you looking me over. Do you approve? This is the dress I brought with me that I teased you about ... you just COULDN'T see it until tonight. Black. Strapless, with a very lightly ruffled skirt. Strappy black sandals. Wide belt that sits just perfectly under the bust and rests on the hips. The floor between us seems to disappear as I float to you. I stand before you and our eyes meet again ... mine dart between yours and your mouth ... the small smile on your lips as you tilt your head ever so slightly. I touch the soft cotton of the jacket at your arm ... my breath is feeling ragged and my senses are feeling assaulted by the touch of you, the smell of the Chanel Allure Homme upon your skin, the smooth shaven jaw that's inches from me. I bring my lips to your earlobe, savouring everything and I whisper 'I got here as soon as I could,' and then, because I sense a change in you as you take my free hand in yours and lace your fingers with mine, squeezing them tightly ... 'oh but there's one thing I forgot. I left the flat without my panties, I don't know what came over me .....'
