So I held a tarantula today. :3

Not to fluff my own feathers too much, but I'm pretty proud of myself. XD Spiders kinda give me that primal, instinctua,l squirmy need to make squeaky fear noises and flee (maybe even call for a man-type person who is a good squisher) normally, but I've always had this feeling that I would like tarantulas should I ever have an opportunity to interact with one. Today my pet store had one, and I jumped at the chance to hold the little guy.

He was very hairy and tickley and interesting and much lighter than I would have imagined. I liked him a whole lot!

Oh boy, I am just pleased as punch about it. X3

So... if you are ever in a pet store... PLEASE do not feel the need to inform the nice employees that some fish have died like it is an unheard of atrocity against God. They just do that, and it's gross and sad ( mostly gross ), but not a national emergency.

As well, puppies pee and poo, and sometimes they even eat it. Also should not be treated like a code red situation. XD

So I've realized lately... I initially applied to the pet store because of the puppies, but now that I've been working there for a while... the rats are actually my favourite animals in the store. XD

I dunno, maybe it's because they stay longer and I can know them more personally, or maybe because they don't POOP ALL OVER THE PLACE AND BARK SO MUCH, but man I love those little guys. XD

So soft and sniffy and small. <3
