today i was reading some random blogs on blogspot and came across one which made me sit right up! it was a filippina blogger who was writing that juice from pounded papaya leaves can increase platelet counts in dengue patients! :)

15 feb. 2009 today we headed downtown to far east plaza for lunch, hubby and i. after parking the car, we were walking across the connector to the shopping centre when we noticed smoke coming from the side of hyatt singapore which was a couple of buildings away to the left. there was a lot of smoke and we were at first unsure if it was a building collapse ( as they were renovating/constructing something next to the hyatt ) or a fire as we didn't see any flames. we went on for lunch in the shoppping arcade and after our meal, we went to the front of the building to see if there was still smoke. there wasnt anymore, what we saw then was 3 firetrucks and 4 police cars! :) so we were glad. :)
