This is another tale to explain to the world about Proudly South African Services. In SA we have 3 cellular network providers... But the one that has being really bugging me the last month is my (lack of) service provider.
VODACOM: So here's the story, about a month ago I broke my phone (don't ask how). But it was in one piece but the slider was a bit of and not as part of the phone as it should be, if you catch my drift. So I handed my phone in at the nearest customer care center and they told me they would phone me in the next 24 hours with a quote and whether or not they can fix it. 48 hours later they phone me and say yes indeed it can be fixed in the next 48 hours, and that they'll phone me when it's done. Three days later I decide that I will phone them. "yes madam your phone is ready". happy days...
I arrive at the shop, wait a half and hour in the queue get to the counter and they say oh, sorry it's not fixed, was a filing error come back in 3 days. Go back in 3 days and then they tell me it can't be fixed. So I want to get my phone back and get a 2nd opinion... Now due to various reasons I couldn't get my phone back for an entire month.
One month later which is yesterday, they want to give my phone back, in a state worse than which I gave it in... So why am I upset? the phone they could have fixed, they took apart and wanted to give it back in 20 pieces... What the heck man... Aren't we paying for a service that isn't delivered... does make me freaking angry.
