.....The Day The Whole World Cried
September 11, 2001
I was sleeping at that awful hour when the first plane hit the first World Trade Center Tower and I woke with a start, why, I don't know, I just did.... I turned on the television to see and hear that only seconds before the plane had hit and as I watched in disbelief and horror....the second plane tore into the next tower.... I went numb with grief and pain for all the innocent souls that perished that morning....and then the news just got progressively worse.... Now seven years later that fateful day has come again and I just want to remember and say a prayer for all.....the ones that died, their loved ones left behind and their animal friends that waited for their masters to come home, that never did... The sky was a beautiful hue of the deepest blue here in Alberta as I took my daughter to her bus stop and I could not believe that the skies were so black and dusty and filled with papers falling from those office towers, when here all looked so peaceful.... Too many innocents died that day and I take my hat off to all....to all of the people that went to work that day only to have their lives forever changed...to all 343 firemen that ran into those hell-filled places...KNOWING that they were not going to come home....they knew....i know they knew....to all the policemen....to everyone....i bow my head in prayer.... Please take time from your busy day today and take a minute to just remember....
