On August the 11 2007 Sophie Lancaster was attacked as she walked with her boyfriend and diesd as a result of the horrific injuries..

What makes this case stand out above all others... what makes a society hardened by such crimes in, a society that has ceased to care stand up and cry is the fact that the only reason for this crime was she was a Goth

In a day and age where religious, colour, sex decrimination is regulated against there is a group of mindless thugs who pick on someone because they are different. The animals who did this are today awaiting sentences. Their leader has =shown NO remorse at what he has done. NO appology for the lives he has ripeed apart.. but he will not rot in jail forever.. he one day will be free and able to do it again

Please take a moment to remeber Sophie Lancaster before you do or say dsomething to someone about the way they dress or the way they do things...

Thirty pence to spend a penny

As a car driver I normally laugh at those who use busses and trains as a primary mode of transport. Not any more. Oh no... Yesterday I had to go to a meeting and for various reasons I had to take the train...At first all was good. I got my ticket, found the relevant train I required and waited on the cold blowy platform for it to arrive... I duly took a seat on the said train when it arrived and then the journey from hell started. First the seat I was in was precisely 30% narrower than my body required which forced my knees to sit around my ears or poke out into the aisle. Then the passenger I was sat next to had obviously watched the Wizard of Oz and decided that when dunked in water he would melt and therefore had not bathed, washed or cleaned himself in at least 20 odd years. Add to that the businessman in front of me who had been given an I-Pod and obviously had not read the manual about volume and so blared his songs through his headphones so that everyone could hear. I am sorry I don’t care how good your taste of music is I don’t want to hear every word. Then finally there was the train motion. I can only assume that the scientist bods of network rail or whoever builds these things these days have tested it to make sure that maximum discomfort is caused by the swaying motion. I don’t get seasick on boats in force 9 gales in the channel but apparently I get seasick in Trains... Then there was the buffet trolley. That metal trolley of doom. See the IRA have nothing on these guys for kneecapping. I did not react fast enough as she passed me and so a sharp pain was administered to my knee twice...However this pales in to insignificance when you realise that trains can travel in time. They can honestly. I left my departure station at exactly the correct time posted on the timetable. We rattled through the English countryside and stopped at the correct time at each station. However somewhere between the last stop and the final station I lost 27 minutes. I don’t know how I mean we didn't stop or slow but we arrived late...I decided to try and find the reason and here I have to make an apology. I always thought that the tannoy system was crap and made employees unintelligible. Apparently that is what the employees sound like... However this pales to the problems of going to the toilet. I went to the toilet to find my way bore and a slot demanding 30 pence...so now I no longer laugh. Instead I feel great reverence for those unsung heroes who make these journeys everyday and do not go on a rampage killing everyone. They are the true heroes of our nation
