I have recently taken up mosaic making. This is the first mosaic I made. I called it "Shattered Sunrise". I am excited to make more, but have a hard time finding the time. I hope in the future to be able to devote a bit more time to this hobby and perhaps become relatively skilled in this medium one day.

So I guess since I'm not very good at spamming my own comments, I should post a few tales for thumbs. I had 7 students at my house this weekend. They were on a retreat and since I live in a relatively secluded house on 22 acres, it was a good place to come to. We had a great time, did workshops on being an ally and developing authentic relationships - focusing on issues of GLBT & faith and white privelege/anti-racism work. We worshipped, went cross-country skiing, built a meditation labyrinth in the snow and walked it, and had a lot of fun drinking wine and playing games. I really enjoyed having a sense of 'community' in my home and it was a blessing to be with them and a part of their retreat.
