I took you with me this time.. for something new..
Surrounded by mother earth..
Her very breath on our faces..
When uncaring man travels here it's she he disgraces..
But for you and for I, it wasn't that way...
She opened her arms, her wind whispering.... "Do Stay....."
Ferns at our feet... trees, the only walls about...
"Have a seat"... the virgin forest floor did shout...
Gone were cars and busy streets...
Forgotten were jobs and shuffling feet....
You looked at me with question in your eyes....
I averted my face to peekaboo skies....
Did you see them there? Above the neverending trees...
Eyes pleading.... "Friend.. Please...."
I took your hands without a word..
Upon your shoulder landed a bird...
Then you felt it... I saw it there..
"We aren't just here, We are everywhere..."
Mother earth is all you really need..
Fire, Earth, Wind, Water and human spirit to lead....
Be it virgin forest, vast ocean and sea...
Grassy knoll, Meadow and Mountain if you so please....
I will always be with you..
