Buddy's tale, third chapter.
Encounter of the second kind.

A tall figure emerged from the snowy underbrush.
It was clad in various leather furs to protect it's bare skin from the cold.
What cold? Buddy almost pondered. He felt nothing, his thick pelt was rather bushy.
And why think of frost when the threat was rapidly approaching?
It had clearly spotted the tiny rodent and seemed rather interested.
Buddy noticed his fists where clenched. He was holding something very precious.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
Only a foot away. The hamster had almost forgotten to react.
He quickly snapped into action and sprinted away from the two-legged beast.
The creature followed the dwarf with intent, as one would follow a twenty dollar bill.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
Buddy was running as fast as he could. His muscles cramped and ached,
but he ignored the pain. He needed to escape.
He had never been so scared in his life. Yes, he could handle a rapture,
but this monster was much smarter than the bird. It probably had set traps.
Traps, yes. He needed to avoid them as best he could. He could handle it.
THUMP.
Buddy flew a foot into the air, and felt the metallic brush against his hind.
The human had gotten too close, he could not be distracted again.
The hamster briefly looked behind him, and to his terror saw the ugly beast.
KA-THUNK!
It was over. Buddy had looked behind, and ran straight into a dreaded metal box.
Baited, atleast. Maybe he would survive.
The thumping stopped and the rodent was lifted off of the ground.
He heard coarse breathing, then an exhausted sigh.
"I hope you like cages, boy."

Buddy's tale, Second chap.

The rodent contently lapped at the blackened blood.
It was all in a day's work, killing effortlessly.
Made him think. His conscientious side really didn't do anything at all.
It was all in his nature, as a hamster.
Then again, he had no proof of being a normal little dwarf.
Could he be the only one capable of such massacres?
It left room for thought. The only sane pastime in his lonely russian prairie.
He rapidly scurried along the grassland.
No longer hungry, or thirsty, he now desired entertainment.
A fresh kill? Heavy footsteps seemed to answer subtly.

Buddy's got a tale to tell.

It was a mild afternoon in mid Russia. A dwarf hamster stood in the midst of an open field.
His fur was Siberian, but clearly not purebred. The snow was spread unevenly on the prairie. A bird of prey, not of any particular race, spied the rodent and dove in for the kill.
The dwarf simply stood, staring blankly at the rapture as it made it's descent.
The harsh winds seemed to calm for the instance of a heartbeat,
the bird picking up speed. It could already taste the tiny mammal.
The dwarf hamster continued to stare, no hint of expression. It though of nothing.
It had simply cleared it's mind. Cleared it of all conscience, leaving only the rustic instinct.
Only a moment left. The bird would grasp the rodent in it talons, and be done with it.
Something seemed terribly wrong, though. Terribly, horribly wrong.
The hamster continued staring blankly. Eerily, as if not fully aware of it's fate.
The bird of prey almost considered putting off the attack, but too late.
Too late, my friend. The innocent rodent had leaped out of it's blank stance.
No longer playing sitting duck, the element of surprise had been exploited to it's fullest.
The rapture simply ceased to exist, leaving place to a gory mess.
One moment had sufficed, and that was that.
The hamster had claimed it's kill.
