Ghost Stories 2
Once I was staying with friends near Harrison Hot springs. Our plan was to go wheeling up an old road, park the trucks and bush bash our way to a small lake near the top of a local mountain called "Slollicum Mt." "Slollicum is the local native word for Sasquatch. This area has been famous in the past for sasquatch sightings and lore and well beyond the time the Europeans moved in.
We did our wheeling which got pretty crazy at times. Unpacked the trucks and shouldered our back packs and fishing rods ready for hours of bushwacking. It didn't take very long before we found that the trail had been freshly cleared! Within a day it had been cut because the cuttings were so fresh. We followed the new trail until we came upon a camp with three tents and the craziest bad ass bush bikes we had ever seen! These bikes had no spokes, full chain gaurds, no external cables, wrist gaurds, riot gear face shield, and wheels you could put on an ATV! These things were nuts! We figured the owners of this kind of equip probably pack heat too, so we left well enough alone and carried on.
After several hours of pounding through forest, sloshing mud, and climbing up the side of this mountain we found our lake! After setting up camp, we were asking the leader about this slollicum stuff. "Well you see, this is where the Slollicum lives..."
"HAHA! Yeah right!" We all cheer.
"No! I'm serious. I know you don't belive me. And I don't expect you to. But he lives right here and only comes out at night." And he points to a cave we had not seen before.
We looked at the cave and the cave had a very angry face! This cave was inconsolable! I shot a few pictures of the cave and thought nothing more of it. But as the sun was setting the cave grew more and more angry by our pressence. It was a restless sleep that night. Everyone kept hearing strange noises that they ought not to be hearing at night in the woods. The next day we summited the mountain, had lunch and left for home. When I got home and was looking through the photos, and noticed something wrong with the cave photos. ... Something was running out of it! And we didn't even know or believe!

Ghost Stories 1
A couple of years back I took a couple of friends to a sacred valley deeply hidden in the Chehalis mountains. This special valley is famous amongst my outdoors friends for it's abilities to create sounds and voices that are not really there.
While hiking along the lake side, the weather started to turn on us and one of the friends decided to wait there while the two of us continued on for a short while. The friend that stayed found shelter in a small cave.
After about 15 minutes the two of us decided to turn back as the conditions were turning worse. As we aproached the place that we left our friend, we could hear her singing. I was really quite nice. The closer we got the louder her singing got. We thought she was singing to keep the bears and wild animals away. A safe practice.
When we reached the cave the singing stopped instantly. Not even an echo. "Hey we're back! You were singing really well !"
"Hi! What singing?"
"Well we could hear you singing from nearly half way up the lake. It was nice."
"I wasn't singing. When did you hear singing?"
We all looked at each other. The two of us knew what we heard, and it wasn't her...
