3 has become 4!!

Baby Jack is here! He arrived at 1:37pm on October 7th! He weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 20.75" long. He is beautiful and perfect and we couldn't be happier!

Doing the baby thing on my own is harder than I thought it would be, mostly in terms of exhaustion but I know that doesn't last forever. The kids are great with him and excited to be around him...unless he's crying, which isn't very often at all thankfully.

Thanks for the warm thoughts and good wishes during my pregnancy, it was a long 9 months and it really helped me stay focused and positive. This little man is one of the 3 best things I've ever done.

32 weeks...

Missed another week! Time is flying by now and with only about 52 days until Jack's arrival things are in full swing! His nursery is just about finished, I'd like to find some pictures to put on his walls but the bedding and all of the furniture is in and set up! The rest of the house is coming along...I had 9 days without the other 2 and got a ton done but not quite as much as I'd planned. I have about 3 1/2 weeks until the midwife home visit, so I'd better get 'er done! Jack is a busy boy, making sure to let me know he's around with some good kicks and lots of rolling around. My belly is stretched out pretty good now, I don't know how much bigger it can get. I have to say that I'm loving every minute of this pregnancy now. I know it's my last and that makes me a little sad....only a little! The only time in my life I feel beautiful is when I have a big belly. :o) I'm very excited to meet my new little man.

30 weeks...

Well, this week has been the start of nesting I think. I'm running around the house trying to get the finishing touches on everything. Somehow by the end of the day my to-do list is longer than when I got up in the morning! Got Jack's dresser tonight, time to start washing and putting away his clothes. I still haven't gotten any bedding for him yet, maybe I'm too fussy but I want just the perfect set for my little man. Jack is getting so strong now and I'm feeling him thump away often. It's nice to have that bonding time with him although he seems to prefer 3 or 4 in the morning!

A little confusion again going on in my head. It's hard to look forward when all you want to do is go back, even for a day or two. I've learned this week that my heart is still healing and I'm still working very hard on being forgiving. Not always easy but in order to move on it needs to be done.

Geez, only 9 1/2 weeks to go...seems like forever and tomorrow at the same time! Thanks for all of the wonderful thoughts. Jack and I are doing fabulously and the other kids can't wait to meet their new baby brother!
