Deep LoveI have been moved by .:
L o v e:.
My
green eyes, have been blinded by love's
subtlety....
Though now opened by love's intensity.
I think we've become so numb to the cliche, "Love is more than words--
it's action."
We strain so hard to *hear* love, that we close our eyes and don't *see* when it's right in front of us.
Which is by far a more valuable presence. And while words can be misused-- overused, inappropriately and inaccurately used -- actions can't lie when it comes to love.
For the only real evidence of love lies within a definition of specific expressive action: "Love cares more for others than for self."
Of course we value words. So we like to hear them. So we like to save them.
But in reality? We watch words come and go. All the time. Everywhere.
How often do we *see*
v a l u e?
And can we grasp words? Or are they more vanishing? So the saying,
"I've heard that before..." But to express sincerity without words...
Today I try a new approach....how much better would my vision be if I couldn't hear? Probably much more keen.
My ears have been overworked and overstrained.
My eyes -- not used to their potential. But today.
Today I see what my ears crave.
And I realize I've been so off track. So wrong.
Love is ]-
deep-[ and multi-faceted.
You see it move voluntarily....
It waits so that I may go first. It offers it's favorite, it's first, it's last, and it's only.
It's says, "No--you first."
It goes the extra mile. It is not half-hearted, but willing.
It says, "You sit, I'll walk" "You rest, I'll work" "You pick,
I'll buy" "You eat, I'll cook" "You talk, I'll listen" "You sleep, I'll keep watch"
"You cry, I'll fix it" "You take your time, I'll wait" …
Love screams to us and we say "Tell me! I need to hear!"
How superficial.
Don't miss out.
Don't be distracted by love's label,
but consume it's contents.
It's
delicious.
