I love how when I was little, oh I was so gullible
And now for some reason now I'm not and its horrible.
Life did used to be so much simpler.

But then again I didn't have as much fun as I do now.

If I only knew... How to manipulate the realities
Just for a little while, right now I'm on my knees
Begging for change in my life
Begging for an end to the strife.
There is not a doubt in the world
That what I'm doing is absurd
Can you prove me differently
If you could it would be like exctasy.
A feeling so true its unbeatable

Eyes are blank because they are looking at nothing
eliminating the difference because im starting
to believe that all things inevitably lead to nothing
or if anything, just quiet disappointment
gravity keeps us grounded, but what is supposed to keep us sane
someday its all going to come down to this:
a coagulation of everyones beliefs
wheels start turning, churning waiting for the first breath of consent
reaching out for the bricks, and too late you realize you are punching
crunch. but there is no pain, that always comes later
there is no black eye, everything is fine
other then to yourself, in your own mind you're the traitor.
green grass, ready to die, fading into murky water
look in. no reflection.

Sometimes situations get twisted up and backwards
I'm in this room trying to figure out how to change it up
And this is a kind of open heart experiment for me
Because I don't normally take this kind of jump
But I was wondering, and this might sound dumb.
But how would you feel about a Sunday afternoon
With some movies... Because I'm willing to make the drive if you're willing to take the jump.
I kind of think I'm getting ahead of myself
That's something I tend to do
But I really hope I'm not
Its just this stupid little voice in my head
Telling me that I should.
Anyways, its up to you, now that its out there
I think it might be good for you too, you know.

Illuminating, really, the past can be
But how can you move on if that's all you see
I looked into a different meaning
And discovered that all of it was seeming
Slightly strange, just somehow different.
I tried to imagine if it was relevant
I laughed when I realized I didn't care.
Everything was gone for a while. Hidden there.
I guess you could say it went into the dark.
Or into the light if you like that, just talk
It out and realize what you want.
Maybe its a walk off into the sunset.
The stereotypical happy ending.
Have you met someone you'd want to take with you?
Maybe right now you want to go it alone.
Maybe string along a pet too.
I think its okay to not know what you want yet.
Not ready to place all your money on one bet.
I just like to see it as I have all the time in the world
It may not be the truth, but I'd rather live that way
I think that in the end I would have lived more.
