When I look into the the sky,
And see those drops from way up high,
Their long journey from the heavens.
Why, it always causes my heart to cry.
For something so beautiful,
Something so pure,
Is this the cure?
Something worth living for?
In my shoes it's a simple yes.
As a lightness wells within my chest.
As for why I love it so?
At that, I can only guess.
Perhaps it is how the rain cleanses.
Reveals, conceals and condenses.
With a sacrifice of every drop,
It facilitates amorous consequences.
Within it's lovely curtain,
There is but one thing that's certain,
And within this fact I find my solace,
That it's a wonderful safe to place hurt in.
And when the rain begins to go away,
I'll try and find some other way,
no matter the cost I'll have to pay,
to continue its celestial dance.
