Eleanor Roosevelt had great wisdom when she soke the words, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift." But what if there was something you absolutely could not stop thinking about. What if there was something you wish you could take back and change. We always think about the things we've done wrong in the past, and fear making mistakes in the future. Sadly though we cannot avoid making these mistakes. They are tools that will teach us and guide us for the rest of our lives. Somtimes we'll even have to be repeat offenders before we truly see what we have done. But we have to shake ourselves of this fear or else we will be so wrapped up in them we will forget to live our lives, and this is the biggest mistake of them all. If we forget to live our lives, then we will never have the chance to touch another's life or to make changes in the world. So instead of beating ourselves over the past, let us press ahead for the future anf for today. Every day is one day you'll never get back, so we need to choose what we do with the days we have remaining. We can choose to be so wrapped up in our lives that we can forget why we are on this earth: to touch another life and take small steps towards making big changes with huge impacts. If we join together as one body and one spirit we can begin to empathize with one another and reach out. Even if we feel like we are just one small grain of sand buried on the beach, we can still do great things.
