This is just a little something I'd like to share. It's called the Circle of Influence and I use it for some of the issues and problems I face, here's how it works.

1. Draw 2 circles, one inside the other
2. Within the inner circle write what the issue is
3. Within the outer circle write what you can do to influence the issue
4. Outside the circles write what you have no influence

9 out of 10 times there are more things outside your influence than inside. Remember you can't influence everything around you, just try and concentrate on the things you can influence with the issue you face. Life's short, enjoy every moment you have.

Looking forward to the weekend, feeling a bit caged and need to get out into the country with the wild dog

The walk -

So I took the wild dog for a walk in the bush. Now he loved it and was jumping in and out of the river. Now he is a character and as such decided it would be great fun to run off after a giant rat (otherwise known as a kangaroo). So after an hour of running and walking in the general direction of my wild dog (Occy) nothing could be seen of him. It was at this point I stopped being angry and became very sad as he's my best mate. Now it took me the better part of 2 hours and then some to find my way back to the car. I have to admit that I had a tear in my eye as I walk thinking I'd lost my little wild dog. My heart sunk and I had a lump in my throat. I'd brought the little guy back to Australia from England, he was family. Little did I need to worry because who was asleep in the shade of the car but the wild dog. When he heard me coming he jump up and came bounding over with his ears pinned back and a smile on his face. What can I say, no more bush walks for that little devil. Seriously though, I was so happy to have the little wild dog back that he got to sleep inside that night. Little devil ended up sleeping on the end of my bed, ah well he's family
