I grew up in the country. I am lactose, dairy, wheat and gluten intolerant. I also have a reaction to a lot of preservatives and colourings. In my childhood we actually *gasp* grew our own vegetables and made our own bread. We didn't consume pre-packaged foods at all, not only were they not at all available, but why would you want to?? Are you that lazy? So i'm all for organic produce and all that jazz, we grew up with it, it's not some amazing new concept. But seriously, self-righteous "organic" vegans just give me the shits...
