Present lies intertwined the past a shadow that follows behind
The future bright and ever near
Drives heart beats fast and steers
Towards horizon of opportunity
But forget as we may you can never see
That tomorrow is never indubitably
Today is the place where we must be
Reality much like the present we open
Bowties and ribbons mask treasures inside
Lingering thoughts over wondrous tokens
Doting and hoping for one hearts desire
Expectations soar high, oer the cliffs edge they go
A body broken and torn on the rocks down below
The focus of clarity lost in the dream
Illusion of time keeps us trapped in the stream
Consciousness flows in no time but the now
The past and the future but stories we sow
