As the day came to a close, she quietly closed her register, cleaned up her area, and gathered her things. It was a long, hard day. Who knew Valentine's Day would bring such misery. It was a day fill with upset customers, scandalous co-workers, and mushy couples. She did everything in her power not to blow up, yet she wished for her shift to end so she can find a corrner and cry. Now that it's here, she no longer feel the need to express her misery. She slowly walk ed to the side entrance of the store and open it. What she saw was unbelievable. There he was, standing perfectly still with a dozen roses in one hand and candy in the other. His eyes lit up when he saw her, showing all of his affection She ran into his arms and hugged him tight. Together they walked hand-in-hand to his car. When they got there, she looked into his eyes, leaned over, and kissed on the cheek. "Thanks Daddy", she said. "Always the best for my princess", he replied. Together they got in his car and rode home.
