Memories:

8 years ago ~ I was working at a place called ArmorCast, banging my hands on a big damn stationary belt sander and rocking out to whatever was playing on the radio. Then the news came out, the towers had been hit. I remember the news lady couldn't get the facts straight about the Pentagon. She said it'd been hit by a helicopter, then later that a plane had hit the helo landing pad. Everything was a scrambled mess.

I was working next to the boss's wife and I will never forget the question she asked me or how I answered:

Her - "My God, is today some kind of special date or something Allen?"
Me - "If it wasn't before, it sure as hell is now."

I had never wanted to hear the National Anthem played so badly in my whole life.

I am all geared up to head out to the Pleasanton Highland Games this weekend! :D If you don't hear from me, that's why. I'll be out belting on my kilt and throwing down with some sword fighting! Mmmmm... and listening to bagpipes. Gawd I love bagpipes. ^.^
