Standing on the edge of time
There’s no point in hiding from her crime
Life’s cruel feat has caught up
Her conscious now ready to erupt
Where will she find her final judgment
Nobody around willing to make a true assessment
Tears of hurt falling on a crowd without care
Her choice to fall to an end unfair
Thoughts rushing through her confused head
Redemption not given but hate instead
He deserved every amount of pain he felt
The combination to her emotions now lost in a vault
Eighteen years of her life lost in a roller coaster of confusing pain
Every attempt of an escape discarded in brutal shame
The scale of truth swaying the wrong way
It left her no choice but to make him pay
Her crime was anything but secret
Many witnesses had a taste of the unexpected
No time to loose self judgment had to be made
Neither truth nor pity there can be no trade
The final grains of sand have fallen through justice’s waist
Her where about in this concrete jungle have been traced
Sirens in the distance once far now near
Only enough time to shed one last tear
With one last breath of an autumn sweet air
She takes one step to death without a care
Gravities forceful hand takes a strong hold
The air blowing on her face now cold
Peace and tranquility settling in her heart
As the fear and pain she once had now part
Landing with a careless and un-emotional thud
Now lying motionless in a sidewalk flower bed
Pedestrians in the area stop with utter shock
Crowds now gather in a muck
Man steps forward pondering thoughts so hurtful
He then notice’s a smile and said “But she looks so peaceful.”
