Ho Hum:
Oceans
How I wished a thousand times or more
to fill the oceans with my tears
But not a cent for the wells were spent
upon the knowledge of uncast fears
I've looked upon those, caste amiable
to comfort the torrent flows
But where to soothe my willow's call
for scant boughs are seen hard to blow
Perhaps in the world of sufferance
The tests of time will span
As scolded tears bring toughening
Progress the boy into a man
Yet in this shell to penetrate
The upbringing from year to year
The taken time sends chills up your spine
What are dried eyes without a tear
Tears have fell for ordinance
Of love's lost and unknown life
But beseech to me, a spring, a brook
At the loss of my father's wife
And as forgiveness is not pity
To stare at mirrors that share your mock
For life spawned upon ocean towers
As tears fell on imputile rock
