Ever just stop and think some randomly wierd ideas? I do it a lot.
Take yesterday, for example. I began contemplating what infinity really is. Scientists, mathematicians, and the like really push the infinite. The universe is supposedly infinite in space; the big bang theory states we are slowly drifting farther apart. Two parallel lines in space will never intersect, but travel beside each other forever. Double any number and you get a bigger number, with no limits. Time carries on forward forever.
But I sometimes wonder how much theory is only perception. I started with thinking about time. What if it wasn't infinite, but rather continual? Time is normally stated as one dimensional...a straight line. But a single dimension has a neat little trick that anyone can play with a Mobius strip.
Take a strip of paper cut from a sheet, and twist it so instead of a plain circle, you get a loop with a twist in it. It has some neat properties to it. See?
Now imagine that is time. Time travels, at least to us, in one dimension: a straight line. But what if it really isn't? What if its a two dimensional beast that is only perceived as a straight line, because that is the only way we comprehend it? But in truth, time acts in two dimensions, and cycles over and over, infinitely.
See, even still, I can't avoid the infinite label. But I use it in a different perception, a circular motion, a repetition. We can walk around the equator of the world infinitely, but we only travel the distance of the equator, over and over. Finite numbers repeated. Parallel lines never intersect in 2 dimensions, but maybe they don't extend infinitely through space, but over a finite cycle over and over. Maybe the same perception trick exists with space as time, just that its so large its inconceivable to the human perception. A two-dimensional Mobius strip, one that really exists in three dimensions.
And if it holds true for both one dimension and two, maybe one also exists in the 3-dimensional world we exist in. Space itself may be a continual loop. Things may seem to expand in space, but maybe such a Mobius trick exists beyond our current comprehension that while things seem to be expanding, they're actually converging at the same time, but in such a way that we don't notice.
So the creation/destruction of our universe could be a looping effect. EVERYTHING could be returning to it's starting origin.
Does it explain how/why our universe is created? No. Faith and science still are blind beliefs on creation/existence. But maybe the way things work aren't what it seems....No trying to change peoples beliefs, but rather just a change on mechanics....
I randomly think weird things like this all the time. Im by far not an expert on any idea, just a thinker, a philosopher. Its odd to say, but I can't turn off my mind many days, and things like this just pop up. Gilly Bean"Jess' Dork"Feisty
