Cough Drop Sometimes I can’t stand the pain and I just need relief you know just a little something not too much I can feel it in my pocket And it’s just tugging at me the pain the irritation it never goes away unless I just have a little you know just a drop just a bit I reach in and grab it And it happens to everyone or so I’m told it’s just that no one seems to understand I can’t see how they can all stand it constantly nagging the pain it’s inside its welling up god damn it why don’t they understand I pull it up Sometimes I think I use it too much but the relief it’s like a river flowing through me so cool so calm I can’t think straight its always there always there nagging and nagging and the pain comes back it always does always never too much but always there I can feel it on my lips And now it’s so close I can literally taste it and I can feel it go to work before its even in me how did I go without it so god damn long my heart is pounding and I can barely concentrate the pain the nag the welling up it all leads to this one instant I swallow it.
