People that are unafraid to love & be loved in return, the kind that find inspiration in both the good and the bad they experience, the kind that aren't terrified of self honesty, the kind who still retain a sense of humor even when it pertains to their own flaws, the kind of people who are fun weird (not weird weird), the kind of people who don't care what their peers think & don't embarrass easily. Individuals. People who haven't abandoned hope nor entertain nihilism or cynicism for too long.
I want to meet those that are slow to anger, and quick to forgive, yet are smart enough to know who and what is a lost cause. People who still retain a merciful but firm belief in Justice & Fairness. People who don't need to manipulate, lie, or play games to fair well in the world.
Those whom never lost their sense of adventure & spontaneity. Dreamers. Those who aren't afraid to stand up for themselves even in a tricky situation. People who don't take themselves or life too seriously, tolerant people who do things that are far outside their general range of comfort and open their minds to it, just to feel the growth from such an experience.
I want to surround myself with people who won't let their fear of being hurt by something keep them from truly experiencing something immeasurably amazing. I look for the kind of people who think outside the norms of society's laws and know they don't have to live life by them if they just unbind their mind from the brainwashing, the kind who embrace nostalgia without abandon but are not trapped in the past, the kind of folk who aren't afraid to be wrong sometimes and take accountability with grace.
Those whom aren't afraid to be "cheesy" OR intense, those whom aren't afraid to change their opinion, or to speak an unpopular one. Travelers. Poets. Jack Kerouacs'.
Those who will listen to or help a stranger whilst knowing even the most mundane story is a miracle, that the briefest collision with another person can change your life, and even the smallest act of kindness can change theirs. Those who show mercy to insects & unpopular creatures, and even sometimes... assholes.
Those whom know all life is sacred, the kind of people who really see the world around them with courage even though they have been trapped in the darkest crevices of it before yet still manage to say "Today Is A Beautiful Day. Anything Can Happen." and mean it.
I'd like to meet people who still believe in Ideals, and the warmth of kindness even in the face of bitter adversity, and hollowed out people, yet still maintain the wisdom and balls to speak what is on their mind with the truth and dignity of tempered emotion. I'd like to meet people who know well enough the kind of people to stay the Hell away from and who don't sell out their friends in the face of a wrong to keep peace for their own personal comfort or piece of mind. I want the complete opposites of emotional cowards in my world.
I want only in my life the kind of people who still believe in magic whatever their definition of It is...
In other words I want to meet people who shine.
