Back with ADSL huzzah! I sat around all day wondering when the Telstra guy was coming around to connect me because they won't give a time. Finally got the shits at 4:30pm and rang them and they're like "oh it's been connected for hours"...thanks for telling me...arseholes!

Sorry about my lack of activity but I've just moved house and currently have no net. Inner suburbs of Melbourne and for some reason being able to get ADSL is a "maybe"? WTF??? Praying so hard I don't have to go back to dial-up.
