I am the only female member of my schools improv team. I really love improv, it takes away your fear of public speaking (or acting) completely. If I can become anything from a cat to a rock during a scene, I sure as hell am not afraid to talk to a crowd. And talk TO them. Don't you hate it when people talk "at" you? Like, with a carefully rehearsed speech? It's the difference between listening to some one talk to you, and some one reading to you. You have to have sincerity, instead of just making people listen to what you have to say.
