I scanned the options for the animals-not a dragon, not a unicorn, not a werewolf, not a monkey, or a dog or cat...what animal did I feel I related to , then I saw the Kestrel...once when I lived in another place, I used to go out and watch the Kestrels in a park perserve that had a river running through it.
They were silent as they reeled and plummeted in the balmy air of summer, except for every now and then, a call would linger in the air.Which I found had a really attractive musical quality to it.
The Kestrels
They seemed so intent on their hunting, yet like all animals, completely unincumbered by care like we have, and completely free.
That must be why I chose the Kestrel.
