My dad was in the navy during Vietnam; one of my cousins did 2 tours with the army and diffused land mines in Iraq. Another cousin rode out with the marines in the choppers to fix broken vehicles on the battle field; another cousin has been in the coast guard for over 10 years. I am so proud of them I could burst. My son (13) is already 6' tall, joined "The Young Marines" and wants to join the real marines when he's old enough. I can only imagine the mixture of emotions --terrified yet so proud-- that I will have to sort out. Any tips?
