A long while passed where the only sounds were those of the bombs. Then the screaming started again, only this time pain ripped through the chords, rather than potential fear. I could feel a small tear in my heart open for them, for their losses, but I couldn't think about that now. The family are leaving their little tin shed and returning to their home, which, thank the lord, is still in one piece. They soon turned to their beds as I watched through the window, drawn by the warm lighting in the lounge. As they moved around the house, a sound reached to me from above. Looking up, my eyes fell upon a young boy, only just broken into his teens, hovering level with the windowsill. He had not always been there, and didn't seem to notice me either, gazing intently through teh window.

Today, my life seems to have taken a turn for the worst. I appear to have stumbled across some very ancient technology taht can take me back in time. Well, I didn't know that at the time, so when I started to fiddle with the controls, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. The blare of sirens ripped through the air, doing damage to my eardrums. I cautiously lifted my head from the ground and looked around. My surroundings matched to those of wartime London. Oh Dear, I remember thinking to myself. My thoughts soon turned to cussing as a vehicle rolled behind me, jolting me forwards and knocking the device from my hands. Watching it fall down a gutter into the sewers wasn't the best. Then the lights blazed from places I could not see. Like anyone else, I shied away from the light. I found myself in a garden, watching a family run into a shed. The shed seemed a little strange to me, as it was metal, covered in moss, and shaped like a dome. Realisation soon hit me. This was a bomb shelter, and it was the Blitz. Time to run for cover.

As I was roaming through the undergroath, an almost impossible scene met my eyes. A mad hatter and a blonde girl in a blue dress were seated around a long table. After closer inspection, my eyes fell upon a teapot, where the head of a mouse was just visable. I rubbed my eyes, unsure whether to believe the sight, when another, shorter man that I hadn't noticed earlier, pushed me forward into the clearing. Music erupted, and the party began. The smaller man that I presumed to be a man was indeed a hare, as tall as a man. Amongst the confusion, I saw the glistening of a blade, or was it a spoon. No matter which, I decided to leave the bizarre party and carry on with my adventure.
