About me:
Well...
I play some instruments: Violin, trumpet, pennywhistle, fife,cello/viola/bass, bagpipes(Led/instructed the Semper Fi Marine detachment pipe band), bohdrum, marching band snare/drums, and have dabbled extensively in sax, piano, and vocals;)
Martial arts, is a biggie with me...I have done: Tae Kwon Do/hapkido, (black belt/instructor), Kendo/Kumdo (black belt/instructor), and others, in various degrees...aikido, jiujutsu, judo, kenpo, Tai Chi and such...even took up a few years of gymnastics, to get the flippy stuff down, to help out the ka-ra-tay!
Swordfighting, is my first 'love'...like i said above i train in the kendo/kumdo sword art, and compete...I have gotten third in the country(bronze), in national open fencing, and recieved a 'knight sash' in the SCA war reenactment training and certification. I have a rather big tat of a sword going down my spine, and one on my leg (for now) as a testiment of my odd love of the sport;) I used to have the nickname 'Highlander' cause of my thing for swords and bagpipes...that name stuck for quite a while...lol
hm...what else can I talk about, to scare you away...*laughs*
Oh, I am 'into' scars. Not in a freakish 'turns me on' way...more like...they fascinate me. Scars tell a story about your life. From something silly like bumping your head on a table as a baby, to a cut from a knife, while attempting to cook. They all are bookmarks, in the living journal that is your body. Mine just so happen to be from years of swordfighting, so I guess I have a lot of stories to tell! *smirks*
what else...well, I am into languages, and such...I speak spanish, some hindi, mandarin, sign language, pretty fluent in latin, and can read braille. I am currently trying to learn some arabic, for 'fun';)
Oh, and I do a little art type stuff...I sketch like a fiend. I sculpt, paint, etch, carve, create stained glass art, and can do a lot of latex-type movie effects, with prosthetics, etc(think zombies, fake bleeding cuts, etc)...um..just about anything 'art'
