I look at the pictures scattered across my floor.
That is when I hear the knock on the door.
It's my mom telling me that it's time to go.
It's time to let all of my memories go.
I look up at her and I want to say,
"Please just give me a few more days."
I promise and say that I'll behave.
These memories of days long past are what I will save.
It seems dead quiet in my room,
Giving it a sense of dread and doom.
I'm hoping that I will not forget them,
I'm praying that I will not forget them.
Those who have helped me through some hard times,
Helping me think up these shitty rhymes.
They are who I want to forget,
Telling me not to give in and to not forfeit.
They made me look forward to each coming day
And they always seemed to have something to say.
Telling me if I had made a stupid mistake,
Accepting me when I thought I was a fake.
I'm hoping that I will always remember
To never give in, never surrender.
