Gripes of a Server

don't get soda to go, thats what grocery stores and convient stores are for
don't ask for items one at a time, ask for everything you need at once
when your server is talking to you, please listen
when your server says "hello, how are you?" don't stare back without replying
don't say your ready to order, if you still need to discuss with the other people at the table what you should get
there is no reason why you should down your entire drink at once
i didn't cook the food or make the drinks, so don't blame me if you don't like it
would you please control your child in the highchair from reaching for me, where he or she shouldn't be
no i can't server you multiple drinks at once
if you're going to tip a dollar on a 50 dollar check, just keep it you need it more then i do
if you're going to order an appetizer 10 minutes after you order your entree, don't expect it out first
lemons don't come automatically with water, you have to tell me you want a lemon
if you can't open your mouth and speak clearly, have someone else at the table order for you

Hawt Rod (AJ) and Rough Toxins (Dom) part 2

the same year while at school Dom had neglected an important Chemistry project that he had to turn in the by the following week. talking to himself in panic, "Aj can help me get it done by then, I'll have to call him" 2 hours later talking to Aj's roommate on the phone. "what do you mean he's out on a boat for 2 weeks, what can he get done out there?"..... "oh wow a cruise thats also a chemists convention, who would of thunk, it just tell him Dom called." In a panic Dom went to find a freshman that was ahead in chemistry, finding one he offered to pay him to finish the project. The night before the project was due, Dom showed up to get the project with no intention of paying for the freshman's services. when the kid asked for his money, Dom said, "how about my payment be i make sure no one on any of the sport teams, messes with you your entire career here." he said giving his winning smile. The freshman was so upset he saw red, in a quick fluid motion he stood up and slammed his knee hard into Dom's "family Jewels" Dom being the average man in some ways, fell to the ground in agony, as the chemicals from the project poured all over him "his" project destroyed. The chemicals oddly soaked into his skin with unusual quickness, and for two weeks he glowed like he had sometimes thought he say Aj glow. then it died off, but then he started having a shift in emotions when around people, till he realized it was their emotions changing his, after a few weeks he was able to keep them separate and use the energies of the emotions to alter peoples mood, energy, and other traits, which helped him make his teams winning teams.

two weeks after each of the boys had graduated, they met in the woods in between both of their parents' houses. Dom had not told Aj of his newfound skills, wanting to surprise him. Dom had got their early thinking of how he would show his best friend what he had learned. Then Aj started coming up the hill, as soon as Aj got within 25feet, Dom was over rushed by a feeling of joy, love, respect, honor, pride, adoration, and a few other that was lost in the mix, the rush of strong emotion brought Dom to his knees, and tears came from his eyes. Aj seeing it happen, feared for his friend so he ran up the hill to him, "Dom what happened" "Aj....... why didn't you ever tell me?... you'd have to had this feeling for a long time for it become so strong!" Aj stammered back, at a loss of words in shock. "What do you mean, bro?" "Well I'll tell you the story how later, but i have realized i have a strong power with empathy, and the wave of emotion that hit me....." turning away from his friend Aj, became nervous. "don't worry, Aj, you're my best friend, I've never thought of guys like that...... but realizing you feel that way for me makes me look at you in a different way..." Aj turned around to tell his friend he wouldn't ever expect him to give up his life and he didn't want to lose him, but he found Dom standing again, and Dom pulled him in and they kissed for what seem to be hours. Creating a life partnership that went into all aspects of life.

Aleck Lightwind, part 2, sorry i just can't bring myself to get rid of any part of the story


When Aleck gets to his place he finds the door slightly open He slowly walks in. "Nick, you here, i'm home" switching the light on Aleck see's that the place is wrecked, everything turned over and tossed about "What the f**k, NICK." running through the apartment towards through the rooms, everywhere a mess,slices in the walls, and burns, from energy blasts everywhere, then in the last room he see's him, his Lover of nearly 16 years, laying right next the bed breathless, his eyes with a blank stare and glaze on them Aleck falls to his knees, and breaks into tears, he reaches over and closes his eyes and holds him closely.

for what seems to be hours he just sits their in tears, till he suddenly realizes a brilliant glow coming from behind him. He turns around to see the hovering shape of a Kheldian. "Greetings Aleck i'm Lightwind, I have witnessed the loss you have taken and the situation in front of you. I have a way out to make things right, well as right as possibly can be. Join with me, we can become a powerful force."

Looking down at his lover, and thinking back to the all the beliefs and ideas Nick had fought for, he decided that best way to remember him would be to take up his fight and not let that struggle end.

"Yes, i'll do it" then the two started merging, and a set of wings sprouted from his back, and he took flight, he's been on the top priorities for Crey's list of most wanted. Being able to dodge his way till he evolves enough to be able to fight the evil corporation.

background of Aleck Lightwind part 1

It was a sunny warm day, a good day for a picnic off of Talos Island, well as long as you find a less populated shore, and usually on the rocks, and if you watchout for cars being thrown over the side of the bridge by some random Villains attack. Aleck was relaxing with his head in Nick's lap. Nick looked down and asked, "So whats this new program you've been working on so hard lately?" Aleck, sat up and looked away, "Nick, I told you I can't talk to you about this stuff, my work is supposed to be top secret, I could you or both of us killed if the higher ups in Crey find out about it."

"I don't care, we've not kept secrets from eachother in the 15 years we've been together, and you know i would never tell a soul that you told me a thing."

Nick put his hand on Aleck's shoulder, "It's obviously had you stumped i hear you swearing and getting frustrated in the other room, and i don't like you having to be frustrated, i wish you didn't have to work with Crey anyways, you know i don't trust them, i think its a prime example of Evil in Corporations, all that stuff you just brush off. Plus the money they are paying means one thing to me, that they need you for whatever plans you are working on for them, so they are not going to kill you off, you have yourself in a protected spot if you ask me"

Aleck turns and faces him, their eyes meeting. "I have to work there, the money they pay me makes, life simple, we have a nice place in a good part of town, protected from street thugs, by two heroes that live next door, we wouldn't have that if we had a cheap apartment in IP or Striga, and I told you i wouldn't never let anyone use me for something i considered evil, and a program for an AI that can be tau....." Aleck looks away, "i guess i can't keep things from you, it is just natural to share everything"

Nick hugs Aleck from behind kissing the side of his neck. "Thats how we know we are meant to be together."

two months later..

"It's been three days, and i haven't been able to leave the building when am I going to get go home??" Aleck says in a very heated tone, to his supervisor, who has had him allowed only in the lab, for three days now. "Well actually that's what i'm here, for, some news first has to be given to you, first the program you created for us has just been destroyed so we need you to make it over again, and this time we want it to be faster evolving, and second we'll give you two days then you are being moved to the main building to be under supervision while working. Now go home and gather your belongings and get ready for monday."

"But sir...."

"no questions or comments just go prepare."

"I'm going to miss you Dom, we've been best friends since kindergarten, i can't believe we're going to school on the other side of the country from each other." AJ says as he makes sure he stays in the light, so his best friend won't see the glowing of his skin, fearful he would find out he really felt about him as he had for years now.

AJ Timberlake and Dominic Jones had been friends forever, AJ lacked Dominic's skill in sports but made up for it in his brains with chemistry and math, winning the science fair every year, while whatever sports team Dominic was playing on was winning championships abroad. Even the difference of lives, they managed to hang out every night shooting the nuts, causing a ruckus, and other things average high school teens get into. Aj had realized his feelings for his friend Dom were more then friendship early in his sophomore year when he woke up next to him while out camping, with just a bit of dew on his friends shirtless torso, he laid there for an hour staring at him till his friend woke. Never expecting his friend to have the same feelings he never mentioned it, Dom had a new girlfriend every week, and didn't waste his time with them.

Dom hits AK on the shoulder, "its kewl man with Internet and cell phones we'll keep in touch, and we already decided no summer school so we can come home each summer"

"yeah i know" the guys hug as brothers, as Aj fights back tears from forming in his eyes.

With Dom not around Aj studied so hard on his chemistry studies that in no time he found himself busy with tutoring and assisting teachers, and likewise Dom found no time getting busy with sports and frat parties. The school year went buy without much conversation but every summer they both came home and spent the entire summer together, talking about their adventures at school.

During Aj's senior year, he was daydreaming of Dominic as he did of lately knowing they would soon be living in the same city again. when he accidentally poured more of an acid into a mixture, causing a small lab fire, he turned to grab the fire extinguisher, but as he moved the fire just snuffed out, realizing he could control flame he started spending evening working on the skill to use it to hold things from moving. deciding he was going to talk his friend into moving to Paragon City, even though Dom had shown no superhuman skills.
