friday, i didn't know there was a storm
the outrigger that we boarded decided to continue with the trip even if there was a coast guard warning cancelling all trips for the day
there were only 7 of us in that outrigger which was supposed to ferry 100!!! (the others backed out)
there were times that the bangka tilted to more that 45 degrees to the water because of the high waves
we swayed like a rag doll inside the washing machine on spin cycle!!!
the water started coming in
i was listening to josh groban and charlotte church belting out The Prayer all throughout on loop and max volume on my ipod
i closed my eyes and accepted my wet fate....
i slept thinking that when i open my eyes all i would see is darkness and feel either heat or cold hahahaha
thank god i'm here to tell you this
i found out the next day that the outrigger that left 30 minutes before us (the coast guard cancelled the trip 5 minutes before we boarded), sank
i dunno the mortality rate but i'm just extremely thankful that i'm here to tell you all this
