So, almost five years ago I fell ill and could no longer work.. I went to specialist after specialist with no one able to tell me what is wrong, calling me a medical enigma... Two years ago I was finally diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and it was effecting me in the way that it was to cause the symptoms no one could diagnose.
My life spiraled out of control after being told I would live to about 60 and maybe the last 10 years of my life would be horrible if I made it to that age. How I lived the rest of my life would be up to me. Well, of course with MS, it's a double edged knife where it hurts to do anything so you don't... but by being lazy and not doing anything you begin to atrophy and waste away causing it to hurt MORE if you do ever try to do anything, like walk.. which is how a lot of MS patients end up in a wheel chair.
I am 6'6" and about 6 months ago, at my worst I weighed 310lbs, I wasn't overly obese, but I certainly wasn't in shape.. or rather I was in shape, but it was round! I made the decision to invest what little money I had on a home gym and invested in my health.
I'm proud to say that today, I've slimmed down to 285lbs! I've made my muscles remember and I got rid of a lot of my fat, I still have some but not nearly as much! I'm now doing a 12 week program in which I plan on losing more body fat and gaining muscle mass. I feel great and alive, more than I have in years! I will post some before and after pictures when the 12 weeks are up and maybe anyone who reads this can be inspired to change their life.
Anyways, I just wanted to share that.. thanks for listening (reading).
