Finally, a new poem!
Poem for a one-time lover.
You can try to scorch me with your fiery belittlement:
catapulting one spiteful label after the next.
You will not profit from this caustic hatred.
At long last, I am free of this chronic bullshit:
guarded by hope, and remaining intact.
I will carry forward with vitality; unscathed,
no longer the object of your hateful obsession.
You can try to turn the masses against me:
generating one innovative fable after the other.
You will not relieve yourself of continual embitterment.
Inescapably, I am released from dishonour:
trudging through adversity, with a renewed faith.
I will roam through my foggy conclusion; untroubled,
no longer a participant in your twisted recreation.
You can try to plot my early demise:
striking me with your wicked animosity.
It will not make you any happier.
In conclusion, I am done with the hurt and the lies:
with conviction, I will come out on top.
No longer will I continue to accept this mistreatment.
Do not labor in vain:
in the end, you will tire and become decrepit;
voiceless, and yearning for me.
