Price of Pleasure
I never thought it would come to this,
Why did I let it get in the way?
Even though I know you never will
I wish you would come back and stay.
My conscience told me to forget you,
And I knew that I should have...
My heart, though, still doesn't want me to.
I enjoy the pain you put me through.
My bleeding soul begs me to stop this insanity;
The truth is what it fails to see-
If my heart is to be torn apart, and my mind deranged,
I want to derive all the pleasure I can in exchange.
I was feeling pretty masochistic, what can I say?
This is easily my shortest poem to date...........I've wrote this AGES ago, Oct 14, 2007 to be exact. I've got more, think I'll upload them later, so the people who have the time to read them wont get bored.
