swirling, surging, it devours me
In a soarin flight
to dizzying heights.

The moment it dies,
begins an inevitable descent,
in a helpless spiral

finally,
lying unceremoniously,
body and mind
numbed in paralysis.

'Never again,'
was it a feeble plea?
the howling wind was an inaudible whisper

then one day, it subtly returned
just a tingling breeze, prickling the skin.
