A walk in the park with my little sister
on a misty sunday morning
with the autumn leaves swiveling through the rustic cold air
I ran my fingers through her hair

Gazed into those bright blue eyes
and saw innocence and purity
My eyes flickered; cleaning the dirt in them
and I she vanished.

She slipped through my hands
like fine grains of sand
even though I held her so tightly
I looked up, down and all around
All I saw was autumn coming to an end

Tears started together
at the corner of my eye
I could not hold back
My precious little girl, where did you go?
