My name is Jeanean Barajas I was born in Alhambra on October 1, 1991. I grew up in Pomona, California where I went to Decker Elementary School were I made friends and lost some. One particular friend that I will forever remember was a girl named Cristina she was the one who taught me to love to read. When I was little I had trouble reading my frustration with it caused me to hate it and while I eventually learned to read I never grew to love it. Reading was boring to me and I remember wondering why anyone would want to read. To me reading was a chore...until I met Cristina and she introduced me to a whole different genre of books I never existed! There were fantasy, romance,mystery....etc. She opened up an entirely different world to me and every since then I have read so many books that I can hardly remember being without them. And for teaching to love books I am eternally grateful to Cristina.
