"BILL THE DONUTE MAN"
I walk the streets of Springfield Mass taking my pictures walking around streets that were like something out of a move becasue there was no one on them for it is sunday so it wasn't hard to find parking for my car.
As i walk i find my self walking by the Gray Hound Bus station passed a man walking back and forth and for a split second i cought his eyes in mine i could see him just as quick as he looked up he looked down. Fully knowing where i could find a bathroom I aproched him and asked him if he could show me a bathroom. As he walked in front of me i noticed his ripped pants and dirty blue jacket not able to see his fase i could picture in my head his white beard. As i came out of the bathroom he was still standing there. I asked him if there was anthing i could do for him. looking down at the ground he asked for money. i stopped for a second and looked at him and put my hand on his sholder and said look at me. he looked up and looked me dead in the eyes. whats your name i said. Bill. I tell ya what bill never look down when you ask for something always look people in the eye don't be ashammed of it. i will feed you but not giveing you money. He took a deep breath and let it out in my fase as the smell of nasty filled my lungs i said lets go to the donut shack. As i oreder our donutes we went out side and sat down and drank our coffees i looked into his eyes wile he took his first bight of his donute and sipped his coffee. we didn't talk we just sat and pollished of 12 donuts and drank when it was all done he said to me take a picture of me i said to him no he said yes so that i would remmber the time i feed a man and helped a man look a man in the eyes once more. THen he walked away down the street under the train tracks and he was gone.
It has been such a long time since i have done anything like that let me tell ya and the fact he had a smile on his face was good for me i can't explain it but sitting there with him just eating and drinking did something to me in a good way not a bad. i just can't explain the feeling i have that is my story of the Bill the Donut man.
