If you've been watching the news you know that a lot of the Southern USA is a no fly zone right now. What this means to me is that I'm trapped in New Orleans for at least another day. It's probably the coolest place I've ever been stranded. If you've never been to the Big Easy you should check it out. The city is vibrant, the food is first class and the people are terrific.

Last night I went to an Irish bar down the street that I've been to heaps of times, only to find out that it was the bar from Boondock Saints. Naturally, this called for some Irish wiskey. We then learn that the cool Irish singer at the bar, Bill, was actually in the movie. Awesome! A round for the lot of ya!

For Christmas, I gave my uncle (a real blue collar guy) a bunch of beer - but all of the bottles were individually wrapped in purple and pink paper then stacked into an elaborate basket - again wrapped in pink with lots of gold stars. I'm sad that I didn't get to see him open it.

A tale of Xmas Irony: my little nephew was caught shoplifting this year and banned from WalMart (I know, I know). This year, he got about 5 gift cards for guess where? Hint - WalMart is the only chain store in his small town).
